Summary
of Experience
Thirty two years of experience in the
minerals industry from grassroots exploration for mineral deposits through
underground and open cast mine development and production and from metallurgical
test work through design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation
of process plants. Jack has conducted due diligence reviews of and produced
economic feasibility studies for mineral projects from geological reserves
through process suitability.
His recent emphasis has been in recovery of
precious metals from heaps, oxide mill and pressure oxidation circuits; and base
metals from high pressure acid leach and pressure oxidation circuits.
Operational experience has given him valuable
insight into design requirements for complex plants including efficient
maintenance and operational plant layout, HAZOP facilitation, commissioning and
start-up sequences and schedules, and training requirements for management,
operator, and maintenance staff.

for the world's largest pressure oxidation gold facility.
Barrick Gold, Participated in
design, construction, commissioning, start-up and operator training of six
horizontal autoclaves operating at 420 psi and 4200F,
and all ancillary equipment including water treatment plants, steam generators,
thickeners, lime slackers, etc., that were designed for a total 16,500 tpd
throughput controlled by a Bailey Network 90 DCS from three control rooms.
